i-tec LAN Server Serial RS232


Adapter Ethernet to serial RS-232 (DB-9) with a simple design to connect serial devices. It allows multiple users to share a RS-232 serial device over the network from any networked computer. It can be used either at home or in your office. Possibility of use up to 100 m from your PC/NB. LAN server knows to work only in one IP network - not possible to set Gateway.

Question: How is default IP address of LAN server?
Answer: Default IP is set by a DHCP server ( in case direct connection PC- LAN server is set IP on LAN server in range 169.254.x.x , Windows default). For searching of IP on LAN server is needed to be installed utility Peripheral server( Launch USB server) which knows to find IP on LAN server (on PC can be other IP then on LAN server).

Question: Is possible to set static IP address?
Answer: Yes, it´s possible to set IP address and mask. It´s unable to set Gateway. Please see next Q/A.

Question: Can I manage LAN server remotely or it knows to work in more IP networks?
Answer: Not possible, LAN server has no option for Gateway setting., only one IP network.

Question: On CD is no driver for Windows Vista/7. What can I do?
Answer: Download actual driver from bookmark Download.

Question: I can't set LAN server after blackout. What can I do? I have problem with recovery of connection with connected device..
Answer: Unplug/Plug LAN server (power supply, LAN) and try to upload new firmware v.100.075-see Download bookmark and read quick start document for Update firmware. Download actual driver from bookmark Download.
Problem with recovery of connection with connected device is solved in new utility drivers - after installation, please, check item “Run this application when PC starts up“ and on device „Connect Device Automatically“.
